Website Guidelines
Many PTOs have a page withing the school website and some have separate websites. Regardless of your choice for publishing your PTO website, it will be necessary to follow the guidelines below.

PTCO Websites -

Meeting Schedules

Meeting Minutes

Upcoming Event and Activity Information

Monthly Financial Updates

Copies of recent newsletters

Current Annual Calender of Events

A way to sign up for your email mailing list

Documents to Include on your Website-
​Below are some Basic Documents Parents' Council recommends you display on your school's website. These documents don't frequently change and are ideal for inclusion on your school's website:

Instructions or a link to sign up to receive information or volunteer

Tips for Building a PTCO Website

Research your web host well
-
New website software is fairly user friendly and can be mastered by even the technologically timid

Make the platform you use is also mobile friendly as many users access links via their smart phones and tablets these days.

Calendar renewal dates well in advance to avoid losing domain names and addresses

Be sure to surf the web for creative website ideas
